PUDSEY BEAR's
Display Year 2007Hello there, yes, Pudsey Bear of Children in Need fame here!
I'm very privileged, since Nigel, Debs and the Yak52 were very close to me for most of 2007!
Why? Well, because I spent a lot of time with these guys doing loads of flying, taking loads of pictures, and having my log book filled in!
Nigel & Debs have loads of contacts in the flying fraternity. I travelled on the flight decks of RyanAir and easyJet flights - including flying with Capt Peter Beeson who's the guy who does the easyJet pilot stuff for the "Airline" TV programme!
I aviated on "Sally B" (B17 Flying Fortress), and with the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight in their Spitfire, Hurricane and Lancaster (I was on the test flight of the Lancaster from Coventry after it's refurbishment with Air Atlantique in the "Phantom of the Ruhr" colours). I also flew in the massive RAF Chinook - during one of their breath-taking displays at Duxford Imperial War Museum, and been with the "Blue Eagles" - the Army Helicopter Display Team - in the Lynx doing loops! I did lots more, such the RAF Search & Rescue SeaKing based at Wattisham, East Anglian Air Ambulance and Suffolk Police helicopters to name but a few!
I went supersonic (Mach 1.1) and pulled 8.6G (ooooh) in a flight with the USAF in one of their F-15 Eagles at Lakenheath!!!
And I flew with the Blades too, as well as in all sorts of other aircraft - and - with all sorts of other pilots - and all for a good cause! I learnt to fly with Debs, so you can see how we both got on in the course of the year!
As part of the displays Nigel performed in 2007, I also had some great ideas to help raise some money for Children in Need. Other Teddies did parachute jumps as part of the display, and with Debs (commentator) on the ground, the crowd was made to feel part of the event! Nigel and Debs have other ideas too if you're looking for a great display - if you want to find out more, just contact them!
I kept a blog of events - written by me - Pudsey Bear right here so you can all find out what I did on a daily basis! There's my photo album to look at too - and the pictures are also linked from the blog pages so you can see what I've been up to as well as reading about it!
LATEST NEWS:
Well, I've now got a new home! After my raffle on 29th February 2008, I
now belong to "Timmy". Tim is currently doing his commercial license in
America, so for the time being, I'm being looked after by Anglia Flight in
Norwich (which is where Timmy obtained his PPL!). Keep coming back here to
learn more about where I finally end up!
